How to Obtain a Copy of Your Georgia Criminal History Record
You are required to come to the Sheriff’s Office to obtain a consent form. When you come to the Sheriff’s Office you must show proof of ID such as:
- Driver’s License
- Georgia Photo ID
- Social Security Card
If you live in Paulding County, there is a $10 fee. If you are not a Paulding County resident the fee is $20. However, if you work in Paulding County the fee is only $10 even if you live outside the county. These fees are payable by CASH ONLY.
If You Have a Business in Paulding & Require a Background Check on Employees
Have the employee come to the Sheriff's Office to fill out a consent form. There will be a $10 fee for each employee which is payable by CASH ONLY. The Sheriff’s Office will conduct the background check while the employee waits. Each employee will be required to bring one of the forms of identification listed above.
What Information is Contained in a Georgia Criminal History Record
The criminal history record includes the subject’s identification data (name, date of birth, social security number, sex, race, height, weight, etc.), arrest data (including arresting agency, date of arrest, and charges), final judicial disposition data submitted by a court, prosecutor or other criminal justice agency and custodial information if the offender was incarcerated in a Georgia correctional facility.
