1. How do I establish service?

Paulding County Water offers several ways to establish service. 

1. You can come into our office located at 3844 Atlanta Hwy, Hiram, GA. 30141. 
2. You can download the following applications from our website and email it to pcwapp@paulding.gov or fax it to the office at 770-222-6867. Please call the office at 770-222-6868 to pay your deposit.
   1. Residential application
   2. Commercial application
   3. Temporary Service application
   4. Continuous Service application
3. You can mail your application and deposit to our office at 3844 Atlanta Hwy, Hiram, GA 30141. 
4. If you are renting, you will need to provide a signed rental/lease agreement. We do require one business days' notice. 

2. What is the email address to send applications?

Paulding County Water's email address to send all correspondence is pcwapp@paulding.gov. 

3. How do I transfer my service?

To transfer your service, you will only be able to have the service active at both properties for a maximum of seven days. If that works, you will need to submit an application for service for the new property and a copy of your photo ID as well as your rental/lease agreement if you do not own the home to pcwapp@paulding.gov. About 3/4 of the way down the 2nd page, it will ask if it is a transfer and require the current account number. Your current address will need to be at a zero balance. Your deposit will transfer to the new address and you will be responsible for the $25.00 application fee as well as additional deposit if required. 

4. How can I pay my water bill?

Paulding County Water offers several different ways to pay your bill. 

1. You may pay online at https://ipn.paymentus.com/cp/pldc as a one time payment or register your water account to pay each month. Please note, there is a $2.45 processing fee for credit card and E-check payments. 
2. You can mail your payment to: Paulding County Water, P.O. Box 16007, Atlanta, GA 30321-0007. 
3. We offer Automatic Bank Draft, at no charge. If you are interested, please contact the office at 770-222-6868 or you may download the form directly at http://www.paulding.gov/DocumentCenter/View/146 and email to pcwapp@paulding.gov once filled out. 
4. You can pay at our office or at our drive thru, with a bill stub located at 3844 Atlanta Hwy, Hiram, GA 30141 during our normal business hours, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. with cash, credit card or money order. Please note, if you are using a credit card in the office, it must have your name on it and you must provide a valid id or we will not accept it. 
5. To avoid being on hold, you can pay your water bill with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or electronic check by using our free automated system 24 hours a day. Please dial 770-222-6868 and press 1. You must have your account number and customer ID number to gain access to your billing information. 
6. You can drop your payment off in our depository 24 hours a day, located in the first lane of our drive thru. Anything put in depository after 8 a.m. will be posted the next business day. Please do not put cash in the Depository. 
7. You can now pay at one of our two PaySite Kiosks located on the side of our porch at 3844 Atlanta Hwy Hiram, GA 30141, available 24 hours a day or the one located inside the Paulding County Administration building at 240 Constitution Blvd Dallas, GA 30132; Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

5. What information is needed to pay online?

1. To make a one-time payment, you need the following: Account number, Customer ID number and your email address. 
2. If you have registered through Paymentus already, you will need your login information: Email and password. 

6. Can I pay my bill online if I have been disconnected?

No. If service has been disconnected, we require you to contact Paulding County Water between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, at 770-222-6868. 

This will ensure that no additional delays occur and service is restored as quickly as possible. 

7. Is there a fee to pay online?

Paymentus, Paulding County's payment processor, charges a convenience fee of $2.45 to pay online. Payments over $400.00 will require multiple transactions. 

8. How do I check my toilet for a leak?

To test your toilets for a leak, simply drop a few drops of any color liquid in the tank of the toilet to discolor the water. Give it about 10-15 minutes and check the bowl to see if any of the discolored water has seeped thru. If so, you have a flapper that is not sealing properly which is the cause of the leak. 9. Why is my water cloudy?

Your water may be cloudy due to work recently done in the area. This is only air in the lines and will eventually go away. One way to find out is to run a glass of water and allow it to sit on the counter for a few minutes. You will see the water become clear. 

10. Does the AutoPay through Paymentus take the place of the Automatic Bank Draft with Paulding County Water?

No, Paulding County Water still offers Automatic Bank Draft at no charge. If you wish to sign up for AutoPay with Paymentus, please make sure to cancel your Automatic Bank Draft with Paulding County Water. Please note that if you wish to use the AutoPay through Paymentus, there is a $2.45 fee for each payment transaction. 

11. If a balance is left unpaid on my account, does the balance follow the account or the customer?

If you leave a balance on your account, it will follow the customer and if it is not paid in full after 90 days, the balance is then sent to our ONLINE Collections Department. 

12. Can I get an adjustment for filling a pool?

The following are needed for an adjustment from Paulding County Water if you filled a pool. 

• You must be on sewer (If your sewer service is with The City of Dallas, you are not eligible)
• Must be a brand new pool install
• Must provide proof of purchase and approximate gallons pool holds (business letterhead/receipt and owner's manual)

13. Can I get a leak adjustment?

Effective March 1, 2023 Paulding County Water will be offering a new leak adjustment program. 

The new program will be called Paulding County – ServLine. The program will cover the cost of an unexpected high residential water bill due to an eligible leak up to $2,500.00. If your sewer service is provided by the Paulding County Water System your coverage would be up to an additional $2,500.00. 

The program allows for two adjustments per 12 months over a maximum of 2 billing cycles. To qualify for a leak adjustment the billing amount must be at least 2x’s the average bill and we must have proof of the repair. 

Paulding County – ServLine customer service representatives are here to assist you with all the details of the new program. For all inquiries please call 770-628-2588 after March 1, 2023.

If you have a leak prior to March 1, 2023 please call Customer Service at 770-222-6868 to discuss your options.  

14. Can I do a temporary service?

Paulding County Water does offer temporary service for inspection or cleaning up for new renter purposes only. 

• We need the completed temporary application, ID and deposit ($20 water/ $40 water and sewer)
• Temporary service is for two weeks only
• We do require one business days' notice

15. How do I log in online?

Go to Paulding County Water's 3rd party payment site, Paymentus. You can enter your login information at that time. 

16. Can I pay through the kiosk?

Yes! You can now pay through the kiosk located at either 3844 Atlanta Hwy Hiram, GA 30141, available 24 hours a day on the side of the porch or the one located inside the Paulding County Administration building at 240 Constitution Blvd Dallas, GA 30132, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You must have your Account Number and CID number both located on your bill stub as well as enter in your phone number and last name. Kiosks will accept cash, checks, credit or debit cards. The kiosk does not give change, overpayment will be credited to your account. 

17. Who do I call if I have a water leak or a water related emergency?

Paulding County Water Operations Division is available 24 hours per day for questions and emergencies at 770-445-2761.
