1. Can I have my child's car seat inspected by the Paulding County Sheriff's Office

Yes. We ask that you contact the Paulding County Sheriff's Office at 770-443-3010 to set up an appointment with a Child Safety Seat Technician.

This inspection will take approximately 15 minutes and will consist of training and demonstrations for the parent/caregiver on the proper use of the child safety seat. Georgia's Child Passenger Safety Law

The Teen and Adult Driver Responsibility Act(TADRA) is a graduated driver's license program established for young drivers ages 15 to 18 in Georgia by a collaborative effort of highway safety advocates, legislators, law enforcement officials, educators, businesses and media in the wake of a high number of fatal vehicle crashes involving young, inexperienced drivers.

3. What is this new "Super Speeder" law all about?

Under the provisions of this new law any driver convicted of speeding whose speed exceeded 75 MPH on two-lane roads or 85-and-over on any other road in Georgia will be classified as a "Super Speeder."

This new law took effect January 1st, 2010. This law allows the State of Georgia to collect a $200.00 state fee each time a driver is convicted of a "Super Speeder" speeding offense.
