Job Title: Senior Administrative Assistant to the Paulding County BOC Chairman

Description:
(1) Full-Time Position:

Provides administrative support to the BOC Chair and department operations. Duties include, but are not limited to: answers, screens and returns telephone calls; screens/prioritizes email correspondence; manages schedule; prepares correspondence; maintains records/files; processes open records requests; prepares/submits requisitions, authorizations to pay, and business expense documents; stocks/reorders departmental office supplies; maintains schedules for use of board and conferences rooms and cafeteria; schedules, coordinates, and completes set-up for meetings and events for the Chair; attends and represents Chair as requested; processes contracts, deeds, agreements, etc. for Chair's signature and timely submittal; completes research to prepare and support BOC's agendas, meetings, and events; serves as liaison between the BOC, constitutional officers, and county department heads; assists with developing information regarding county government activities for Board or benefit of the public; sorts and distributes departmental mail.

Knowledge Required:
relevant local, state and federal policies/procedures/laws as applicable to county government; records management principles.

Required Skills:
Computer applications; interpersonal relations; prioritizing and planning; oral and written communication.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
* Sufficient related experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.

***Position is non-Civil Service Department Head, subject to Chairman's nomination and BOC's confirmation; serves at the pleasure of the BOC. Salary range is $33,072 to $50, 960 commensurate with experience, qualifications, etc. and includes comprehensive benefits package.
