Other Recycling Locations for Specific Items
- Nickel-Cadmium batteries are accepted at WalMart
and Home Depot.
- Polystyrene foam trays are accepted at Publix.
- Scrap metal is accepted at the Paulding County
Landfill. Scrap metal includes old appliances, bikes, grills, lawn
mowers, and much more.
- Scrap tires can be taken to any tire dealer for
recycling. They will charge for this service.
- Motor oil can be recycled at places like
AutoZone, Pep Boys and Advanced Auto
- Auto Batteries, many stores that sell them accept
your old battery for recycling.
- Old Cell Phones: accepted at the Paulding County
Water System Facility located at

- Waste Paint: Duron Paint in Hiram sells a product
called Waste Paint Hardened- This product may be purchased for around
$ 3.00 and can be put in unwanted paint for absorption for disposal.

The landfill does not accept Batteries, Tires, Gas Tanks, Oil, Paint, or Computer Equipment (dried paint is accepted).
Contact the Recycling department for disposal information.
Cost:
The landfill has a $10.00 minimum fee for all loads, or $40.00 per ton. The landfill accepts cash or check payments. All checks must include a valid drivers license.
Refrigerator / AC units:
The landfill accepts all refrigerators and air conditioners at an additional fee of $11.50. This fee may be waived provided that there is a statement from a certified professional stating that their company has removed all freon from the unit or units.
