What deadlines are important for property taxation?
All exemptions for homestead, senior citizens, and disabled persons must be applied for prior to April 1 for a given tax year.
Property taxes in Paulding County are due on November 15 of each year.

Do all vehicles require an emission certificate each year?
All vehicles that are less than 25 years old must be tested each year before they can be registered. The vehicles are exempt when they are brand new, until they are three model years old.
There is an exemption for emission requirements for senior citizens who meet the following three criteria:
The owner is 65 years old or older
The vehicle is at least 10 years old
The vehicle is driven less than 5,000 miles per year (you must provide the mileage and fill out a senior exemption form each year)

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, money order, certified check, or personal or business checks that are drawn on local institutions. You can pay online with e-checks or credit cards. The online processor does charge a convenience fee for processing your credit cards.
We cannot accept checks drawn on out of state institutions.
